Klaus Voß, Associated, (PhD), Kiel
Studied biology in Kiel (Schleswig-Holstein, Germany) with main focus on vegetation
science (geobotany, floristics of vascular plants) as well as zoology (herpetology,
entomology). His thesis, completed in 1999, deals with the maintenance of a high
structural and floristic biodiversity in wetlands under the influence of extensive
grazing.
In 1989, he established a biological consulting bureau together with O. Grell and H.
Grell. The bureau is engaged in the fields of land use management, biological conservation
and biological mapping projects. Related activities include Flora-Fauna-Habitats- (FFH)
compatibility studies in construction projects and mapping of FFH habitats and species.
He is co-author of the red data book and distribution atlas for dragonflies and of the new
red data book and distribution atlas of amphibians and reptiles in Schleswig-Holstein. He
is a confident communicator in English and Spanish.
